Got Lights? Time to Check Back-to-School Lists

Parents traditionally invest a good deal of time and money in the summer preparing their children for the upcoming school year.
Whether you are helping a kindergartener or a college freshman get ready, don't forget to add "adequate lighting" to your list of supplies.
Whatever lighting you choose should be portable and, if possible, adjustable.
Among the options:
If your students are using computers, make sure that whatever light you choose can be positioned - and that the computer screen can be situated - so that the children are able to use the computer, without being bothered by glare on the screen.
Put the light source in a position opposite your child's dominant hand. Lamps should be placed to the left for right-handed people, and vice versa, so that shadows don't obstruct their views.
